Love the Legend of Zelda? Check out this #Ocarina!

My husband and I are both avid gamers, and he is an absolute fiend for all of the LoZ games. I’ve been collecting pieces for him for a while, and I’ve been searching for an ocarina to add to his collection. His one request was that he be able to actually play the instrument as well as display it.

This is certainly a beautiful piece to look at, and would make a wonderful addition to your collection should you choose to buy it. It is solid, consistently glazed, kiln-fired ceramic. The holes are clean and uniform, the triforce accurate. It also comes with a string that is threaded through two holes at the top by the mouthpiece, so you can wear it around your neck if you choose to- cosplay anyone?

There are instructions with the ocarina that show you how to place your fingers, as well as a few basic songs you can practice to get a feel for how to play it. My husband learned how to play these pretty quickly once he figured out his finger placement.

My only reasons for not giving this five stars- I wish this came with some of the songs that Link actually plays (but that’s probably a copyright issue), and the sound is a little bit off… more airy than I expected. You can play around with the sound depending on how hard you blow into the mouthpiece, but the pitch is just not quite what I thought it would be.

All in all, this is still a really great piece to add to your collection, whether you’re a Zelda fan or a collector of instruments. It is very reasonably priced, and makes for a great conversation starter! My husband is very happy with his. You can find it on Amazon.

I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed are 100% my own.
